Tools You'll Need:
-
False Eyelashes: Your chosen "Baddie Beauty Studio" lashes!
-
Eyelash Glue: "Forever A Baddie Eyelash Glue" is perfect for this.
-
Small Scissors: For trimming the lash band.
-
Tweezers or a Lash Applicator: These help with precision.
-
Eyelash Curler (Optional but recommended): To blend your natural lashes.
-
Mascara (Optional but recommended): To blend your natural lashes.
-
Eyeliner (Optional): To hide the lash band.
-
Small Mirror: A magnifying one can be helpful.
Step-by-Step Application:
-
Prep Your Natural Lashes (Optional but Recommended):
-
Curl: Use an eyelash curler to gently curl your natural lashes. This helps them blend better with the false lashes and provides a good base.
-
Mascara: Apply a light coat of mascara to your natural lashes. This gives the false lashes something to grip onto and helps them blend seamlessly.
-
-
Measure and Trim the Lashes:
-
Carefully remove a false lash from its tray. Gently peel it from the outer corner first.
-
Hold the lash strip up to your eye, aligning the inner corner of the false lash with where your natural lashes begin.
-
If the lash strip is too long for your eye, use small scissors to trim it from the outer corner. It's always better to trim a little at a time and re-measure until you get the perfect fit. A lash that's too long will feel uncomfortable and lift at the corners.
-
Pro Tip: Gently flex the lash band a few times (like a "U" shape) to make it more pliable and conform to your eye shape better.
-
-
Apply Eyelash Glue (The "Forever A Baddie" Way!):
-
Apply a thin, even line of "Forever A Baddie Eyelash Glue" along the entire lash band. Make sure to get a little extra on the very ends of the band, as these are often the first to lift.
-
Crucial Step: Wait for the Glue to Get Tacky! This is where many beginners go wrong. Do NOT apply the lash immediately after applying glue. Let the glue dry for 30-60 seconds (the exact time can vary depending on humidity and the specific glue). It should become slightly clear and feel "tacky" or sticky when you lightly touch it, not wet and slippery. This tackiness is what allows the lash to adhere instantly and securely.
-
-
Position and Apply the Lash:
-
Look down into a mirror (placing a mirror flat on a table can give you a great view). This angle helps you see your lash line clearly.
-
Using tweezers or a lash applicator, grasp the false lash in the middle.
-
Carefully place the false lash strip as close as possible to your natural lash line, right on top of your skin, not on your natural lashes. Aim for the center of your eye first.
-
Once the center is in place, use your tweezers or applicator to gently press down and secure the inner and outer corners of the lash strip. Ensure the entire band is pressed down firmly against your eyelid.
-
-
Blend and Finish:
-
Once the glue has fully dried (this can take a minute or two), you can gently pinch your natural lashes and the false lashes together with your fingers or tweezers. This helps them blend and look like one cohesive lash line.
-
If you see any visible glue or gaps, you can apply a thin line of liquid eyeliner along your lash line to seamlessly blend the false lash band with your natural lash line.
-
You can apply another light coat of mascara if desired, focusing on blending your natural lashes into the falsies.
-
Tips for Success:
-
Practice Makes Perfect: Don't get discouraged if it takes a few tries! False lash application is a skill that improves with practice. Start with inexpensive lashes for your first few attempts.
-
Patience with Glue: Seriously, waiting for the glue to get tacky is the most important tip.
-
Trim from the Outer Corner: Always trim from the outer edge to maintain the lash's natural shape.
-
Small Sections (Optional): Some people find it easier to cut the lash strip into 2-3 smaller sections and apply them individually.
-
Clean Lashes: After each wear, gently peel off the glue from the lash band and store your lashes in their original tray to maintain their shape and extend their lifespan.
You'll be a baddie with flawless lashes in no time!
